Josh Tobias:

With the release of his stripped, emotionally raw singles "Better by Now" and "Just a Man' in 2023, Josh Tobias is slowly cementing himself as a unique voice in the Country/Americana landscape. Although releasing music since 2015, Josh has been experimenting with several genres over the years but never truly found his voice until he wrote "Better by Now" back in February 2023 while walking alone in the park. "It just came out of me, I honestly think it took 20 minutes to write the whole thing" As the song started amassing streams (700k on Spotify alone), it was then used in the Netflix show "Love Is Blind", which exposed the song to even larger audiences. In 2025, Josh is currently working on his sophomore album, the follow up to 2023's "Lonesome Road". He looks forward to growing his fanbase and touring his new music around the country.

Erika Zabelle:

Singer/Songwriter/Actor based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Erika Zabelle's artistry is deeply rooted in Americana and country traditions, drawing inspiration from icons like Patsy Cline, The Judds, Brandi Carlile, and Bonnie Raitt.
Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Erika went on to study musical theatre in New York City. Her performing career has taken her across the country—from NYC to Los Angeles, where she was a standout performer in LA's longest-running stage show, "Point Break Live." Her artistic journey has brought her to stages in New Jersey, back to her hometown of Seattle, and even to the remote landscape of Skagway, Alaska.
While singing has been a lifelong passion, Erika began crafting her own music just three years ago. Today, she's a regular fixture at the Pittsburgh Honky Tonk, where she sings and helps host the monthly gathering that celebrates the heart of country music.

Distelfink:

Distelfink (a.k.a. Goldfinch) is an original blend of acoustic, folk, and jazz. He sings earnest lyrics about the human experience through a lens of Pennsylvania German folk art. Classic American harmonies adorn the stories of travel, love, and loss. Listeners can enjoy seated or get up and dance.

Aesthetically, Ed Schrader’s Music Beat hates to tread water. At the same time, the Baltimore-based two-piece of vocalist Ed Schrader and bassist Devlin Rice won’t force their songs to fit a preconceived style. “The next album’s always gotta be different from the last one.

We’re different people from record to record. So, writing authentically to ourselves will always bring our work to a place that we haven’t been to yet,” Rice said. Schrader added, “We’re terrified of turning into AC/DC. We never want to be married to one scene or time or sound. We want to be the Boba Fett of bands! Constantly altering the way in which we make records has been pretty key in that process.”

For Orchestra Hits, the band’s latest, that alteration was welcoming longtime musical comrade Dylan Going into the fold as a co-writer and co-producer. A songwriter in his own right, a guitar sideman for ESMB on their last two tours, and a collaborate with Rice in the noise riffage band Mandate, Going had both a unique vision and an intimate familiarity with the ESMB vibe.

Melt is a three-piece multi-sensory, visceral rock band with mission control located in Pittsburgh. Formed in 2020, the flight crew includes Joey Troupe, J.J. Young, and James May - three seasoned musicians and cosmonauts with a diverse range of experience in the music industry.

In July 2021, Melt released their self-titled debut and performed live for the first time, quickly developing a reputation in the Pittsburgh music scene for their lively and engaging stage presence, heavy rhythmic sound, and unique extraterrestrial aesthetic.

In July of 2023, melt released their follow-up LP, Replica of Man, which received critical acclaim across the blogosphere and throughout the known galaxy, including mentions on websites such as doom charts, podcasts including Fuzz Club, and other celestial outposts. mssv, composed of guitarist Mike Baggetta, Stephen Hodges on drums and mike watt on bass, creates music that is a heretofore unimagined hybrid of a punk power-trio and a dreamy experimental rock band, though they prefer the term “post-genre.” Their last full-length album, Human Reaction, finds the oddly memorable hooks of their noir-tinged adventure music with a lot more vocals from Main Steam Stop Valve leader Baggetta, adding more personality than ever before, alongside his bandmates, Hodges and watt, who also share in the vocal duties throughout the album.

With inventively churning drum textures from Hodges (an instantly identifiable sound honed in his days with Tom Waits and David Lynch) and the full-steam-ahead all-in attitude from watt, (as he’s displayed throughout his storied career with MINUTEMEN, fIREHOSE, and The Stooges), there is the impression of “pressure, combustion, power, and hissing clouds of sonic poetry,” as Premier Guitar said. Also evident is the more fearless exploring that comes from a band that has spent a lot of time together crafting their vision, as well as making room for guests like J Mascis, Petra Haden and Nels Cline on some of their previous releases.

Blues is the teacher. Punk is the Preacher. It’s all about emotion and energy. Experience and raw talent, spirit and intellect. Exciting things happen when these things collide. Bob Vennum and Lisa Kekaula made The BellRays happen in 1990 in Riverside, California but they weren’t really thinking about any of this then. They wanted to play music and they wanted it to feel good. They wanted people to WANT to get up, to NEED to get up and check out what was going on. Form an opinion. React.

So they took everything they knew about; the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, the Who, the Ramones Billie Holiday, Lou Rawls, Hank Williams, the DB’s, Jimmy Reed, and Led Zeppelin (to name a very few to whom “BLUES IS THE TEACHER”) and pressed it into service.

Those bands and artists have since become “buzz words”, things to imitate and sound like. That was never The BellRays intention. The BellRays were never about coming up with a “sound”, or fitting in with a scene. It was about the energy that made all that music so irresistible. The BellRays’ influences learned from the Blues and then learned how to to make it their own. The Beatles wanted to play R&B, converted that energy and invented “Rubber Soul”. The Ramones were trying to be Del Shannon or Neil Sedaka and out came “Rocket to Russia”.

The BellRays believe combining Rock and Soul is not meant to be a conscious effort. You shouldn’t have to force them together because they’ve never really been separated in the first place. It’s an organic trail that flows through Bob and Lisa and the current rhythm section of Bernard Yin (Fur Dixon, Par Avion ) on bass and Dusty Watson (the Sonics, Dick Dale) on drums, and comes out honest and urgent. You will learn and you will feel. Blues is always teaching and Punk is always preaching.

Olive Klug refuses to be put in a box. Working out who you are in front of an ever-growing audience is no small task, but one that the Portland-born, Nashville-based singer/songwriter is up for and thriving.

Olive graduated with a liberal arts degree shortly before the 2020 pandemic derailed their plans of pursuing a career in social work. Though they'd recorded and self-released the 2019 EP "Fire Alarm" from a childhood friend's bedroom, up until early 2021, Olive categorized their music as either a hobby or a pipe dream, depending on who was asking. However, after being laid off of a teaching job in late 2020, Olive starting working as a barista and decided to commit all of their extra energy to an ever-growing community of fans online.

Olive can't help but be unapologetically themselves, something their community of fans (dubbed the "Klug Bugs" on Instagram and Discord) appreciate most about them. Their debut LP ranges from a playful Americana romp about "watching all the rules disintegrate" to folk-punk anthem "Coming of Age," which somehow manages to reference both pop singer Taylor Swift and existential philosopher Kierkegaard in one song, to "Parched"'s haunting modern ballad about a doomed relationship, to an indie rock closer about learning to take up space as a person with a marginalized identity. Through this no-holds-barred documentation of the struggles of their early adulthood, Klug embraces all their inner contradictions with reckless abandon.

Within months of formation the band burst onto the local scene and immediately began securing shows with national acts (The Verve, Ultra Vivid Scene, Curve, The Boo Radleys, Stereophonics, Medicine, Lovesliescrushing, Bailter Space and many others) as well as being invited to perform at numerous music festivals around the country.

The Dozen/Calendar single was released by the legendary Independent Project Records in 1995 to wonderful national reviews and extensive college radio airplay. The single's beautiful blend of chiming guitar noise and Catherine's breathtaking melodies perked many an ear and led to the band loading up the van and heading out for a successful string of tour dates around the country.

Their debut full-length, Eyedazzler, was recorded to various 2, 4, & 8 porta-studio cassettes from 1992-1996 and released on Detroit's Burnt Hair Records in 1998. This stunning collection of songs has only grown in popularity since its original release and has been ranked among the top shoegaze and dreampop records from the golden eras of both genres.

mc chris is most widely known for his reoccurring character MC P Pants on Adult Swim’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force where he was also an animator and writer. He’s been featured in the Aqua Teen movie, the video game and most recently on a series of You Tube videos called Aqua Donk Side Pieces. He’s also starred on several Adult Swim series including The Brak Show and Sealab 2021. When he’s not voicing some of his iconic late-night characters, he’s a full-time touring rapper. A pioneer of the hip hop subgenre Nerdcore, mc chris has worked with Talib Kweli, Andrew WK, and Donald Glover. His fans include the likes of Gerard Way, Post Malone and T-Pain and he was even sampled by Run the Jewels for the latest Aqua Teen movie Plantasm. He’s toured with Reggie and Full Effect, Ninja Sex Party, Warped Tour, appeared on a GWAR album, performed at the gathering of the Juggalos and even had his own Honda commercial. Recently mc chris launched a podcast called None of This Matters with Dana Snyder the voice of Master Shake on Aqua Teen Hunger Force. mc chris is the widely accepted soundtrack to nerd culture. Not only does he rhyme about what nerds love most, but he was one of the first performers to encourage nerds to take pride in themselves and what they care about. He’s a full-time single father to his son, Tony, and lives in Los Angeles.
