Suspension Theatrical Arts is excited to announce our latest project: We will be producing two of John Davie’s operas for children, in a touring series of performances. These charming works are made up of fairy-tale stories, set to the music of Rossini, Offenbach, and Mozart. They offer a fun and accessible gateway to Opera for children, from pre-k to pre-teen. We will be producing them first at Mr. Smalls Theater as a free to the public, roaming production. Each show will be presented in a different space within Mr. Smalls- on the main Theatre stage, or in the Funhouse, or in the Mr. Smalls Café courtyard. This will prepare the show to go on the road, to other locations throughout Millvale and hopefully beyond. Bring your children, so they can experience what Opera can do when it meets these classic tales. Or, if you have a venue in mind for us, come and preview the shows. We cannot wait to bring these stories to life, and we hope you will join us!
All performances are free to the public, and kid friendly refreshments will be available for purchase. We will be presenting “Goldie B Locks and the 3 singing bears”, and “Little Red’s Most unusual day”, with a brief intermission between the two.

Friday, July 12th: 6:00 doors, 6:30 show on the main stage at Mr. Smalls Theater
Saturday July 13th: 2:00 doors, 2:30 show in the cafe at Mr. Smalls Theater
6:00 doors, 6:30 show in the Funhouse at Mr. Smalls Theater
Weather permitting, Saturday’s performances will be given outside, in the courtyard or the patio at Mr. Smalls.
