For over 20 years, Mr. Smalls Theater is proud to finally announce Mr. Smalls Theatricals, a new subsidiary dedicated to bringing live theater and opera to Millvale. Our first major production will be PASSION, the Tony-Award winning one-act chamber opera from legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Productions of this show are a rarity, receiving fewer productions than most of Sondheim's other work. However, in the wake of Stephen Sondheim?s death, it is more important than ever to show this incredibly intimate and personal work to the world. Spearheaded by an insanely talented cast and crew of local theater stalwarts, CMU students and alumni, this show is a not-for-profit production intended to gauge community interest in the potential for live theater in Millvale.
