91.3 WYEP + Straub Brewing Presents

WYEP 91.3 and Straub Brewing Presents:
AcoustiCafe Open Stage - host Shawn MacIntyre featuring UTTER CHAOS!!
THEME. "YOU HEARD ME, SIZZLETOES" CHAOS!!
We're going to randomly assign slots!
We're going to roll dice to see how many (if any) house musicians you will have on stage with you - and whether they will be forced to swap instruments, or play blindfolded. You might roll and have someone from the audience stand onstage with a puppet to lipsync with you. You might be forced to do a solo on an instrument you don't know. You may be presented with cake. YOU MAY BE THE CAKE!
The actual rules:
1) D20 - You may be the feature! At 6:30, I will call people in order of their sign in. That person will roll a 20 sided die, The first person to roll a natural 20 will be the feature! So you should have 3 songs ready to go, because you may be the feature. (anyone can opt out of rolling)
2) All first time performers will perform in the 8:00 hour! It is rare that a new performer gets a shot at Prime Time, so that night they will (Sorry to those Under 21, your slots will still be in the 7:00 hour)
3) D8 -Random Houseband Member - You can roll a 8 sided die to have a singular Houseband member join you, or possibly the whole House Band! (This is only if you want to tempt fate, Not a requirement).

3) Keyboard - Andrew Lasswell
4) Drums - Ian Green
5) Saw - Erika June
6-8) Whole Houseband
4) Your time slot will be chosen at random! No need to worry about what time you are going up, the computer will decide!
5) One person each hour will be given a 2 song slot completely at my whim!
6) Comedians- I didn't forget you!! - You can roll a D6 to decide whether you get to do your set by yourself, or with my hand puppet - Guazzeto Puppeto! Odd role, you get to do your set alone. Even role, you use Guazetto!
Acousticafe Show Details:
Doors open downstairs in Mr Smalls Café at 5pm for check-in.
Time-slots are chosen at 6:30pm.
Open stage begins at 7pm and runs until 11pm.
Full sound and light system with backline (drums, keys, guitar + bass amp) available, and a house band to back you up if you want!
(ps sometimes the drums are set up lefty, try to give us warning when you need to flip 'em!)

Every Monday at The Funhouse at Mr Smalls! AcoustiCafe presents an evening of open stage entertainment with a rotating list of hosts. Our vibrant community features singer-songwriters, bands comedians, poets and more. Every week, our house band is available to back performers looking to flesh out their work or kick it in a new direction.
Check-in begins at 5pm in Mr Smalls Cafe.
Time slots determined in order of check-in starting around 6:30pm.
Venue doors open at 7pm.
No cover. All Ages.
