The Acousticafe Songwriter Series is a showcase of local and regional up-and-coming talent!
The Douds Duo: Vacillating between sweet, angsty, sultry, and salty, Nadine Douds’s music is full of both hope and regret, as well as a hefty dose of love and revenge. The vocal lines explore the beautiful tension of dissonance, keeping the ear intrigued and the heart twinging. Nadine’s music has been described as ‘extrovert music by an introvert’. The Douds Duo (Nadine and Nathan Douds) can be heard performing their own unique takes on popular covers, as well as performing Nadine Douds originals. See nadinedouds.com for more info.
Matt Eddy: Matt Eddy is a songwriter from Tampa Bay, currently residing in the Pittsburgh area. His gentle and wide-ranging voice and sensitive approach to the acoustic guitar provide an intimate atmosphere that enable his poetic lyrics to resonate with the listener.
Abbey Martin: Abbey Martin is an alt-folk singer songwriter who found and developed a love for writing music during the pandemic. Her songs frequently include themes of nature, weather, and emotional conflict (adding in satire and humor when possible). She loves to sing harmony with others and dreams of starting of an alternative choir.

Every Monday at The Funhouse at Mr Smalls! AcoustiCafe presents an evening of open stage entertainment with a rotating list of hosts. Our vibrant community features singer-songwriters, bands comedians, poets and more. Every week, our house band is available to back performers looking to flesh out their work or kick it in a new direction.
Check-in begins at 5pm in Mr Smalls Cafe.
Time slots determined in order of check-in starting around 6:30pm.
Venue doors open at 7pm.
