Bring out your masterworks (or your disasters!) to let the almost-Spring sun shine on its face, let the wind be at its back, and let the road rise to greet it, and we're totally not going to mention St P-mmpfhmrmf day!
MARK DIGNAM is presenting his annual Calm Before The Storm tribute to Irish Culture this Fri Mar 13 at The Original Pittsburgh Winery - in the show, Mark farms out his favorite traditional and contemporary songs from his homeland to local Pittsburghers, who then interpret them as they will, and go on to perform one of their own original songs to round out their sets. Featured performers include Mirabelle Skipworth, Kelsey Wooley Jumper, Clinton Clegg, Anne Eliza, Danny Rectenwald and many more!!
SICKBED plays the music of The Pogues this Saturday at Poetry featuring Eric George, Pete Bush, Sean Dwyer Enright, Micki Rockenhauser, Dru Laswell, Megan Williams, Pete Guellard, and Steve Sciuli - with Symington Reed & DJ Poptone opening!!
JOHANNA SÖ left Pittsburgh before the pandemic to join Canadian Celtic/folk rockers The Town Pants and has been touring the universe ever since. The Town Pants will play Friday Mar 20 at The Original Pittsburgh Winery, we're so psyched that Johanna is arriving a little early to hang out with her old buds at AcoustiCafe!!
Acousticafe Show Details:
Doors open downstairs in Mr Smalls Café at 5pm for check-in.
Time-slots are chosen at 6:30pm.
Open stage begins at 7pm and runs until 11pm.
Full sound and light system with backline (drums, keys, guitar + bass amp) available, and a house band to back you up if you want!
(ps sometimes the drums are set up lefty, try to give us warning when you need to flip 'em!)
