The Wall is the Rock Opera written by Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, which follows themes of abandonment and personal isolation through its protagonist, Pink, a character whom Waters modeled after himself and the band’s original leader Syd Barrett. Pink works to overcome dealing with the death of his father at a young age, an overprotective mother, a sadistic schoolmaster, his troubled relationship with his wife, alcohol and drug abuse, and the delusions of grandeur that come with being a rockstar. This collaboration of 13 Pittsburgh musicians, actors and artists have created a multimedia live performance of this Classic Double Album (Certified Platinum 23x) and subsequent 1982 film starring Bob Geldof.
