Wed 09/28 91.3 WYEP presents Built To Spill with special guests Hop Along, Alex G 8:00pm All Ages
Twenty years on from first signing to Warner Bros. Records, Built To Spill is returned in 2015 with its eighth studio album, Untethered Moon. That’s now two complete decades that one of America’s leading “indie rock” bands has happily made its home on a major label, and in the process redefined that clumsy descriptor of independence by operating wholly and consistently under its own steam, taking the proper time to craft timeless songs and playing endless, epic shows to a growing grip of fans each year. Under the command of its constant leader, Doug Martsch, as well as a new rhythm section, Built To Spill’s creative process continues to ebb, flow and evolve in its own orbit, reemerging on record for the first time since 2009’s There Is No Enemy with ten new songs that fit at once into the band’s resonant catalog while infusing fresh energy into that signature sound.

Thu 09/29 Anthony Green with special guests Mat Kerekes, Secret Space 7:45pm All Ages
With his high-pitched vocals and prolific songwriting, singer Anthony Green had a hand in many bands throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer, Saosin, Circa Survive, the Sound of Animals Fighting, and several smaller projects. Green was born and raised in Philadelphia, where he joined Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer in the late '90s before relocating to Southern California in 2003. There, he briefly joined the screamo outfit Saosin but ultimately left before the band signed to Capitol Records. He resurfaced with Circa Survive and remained with the group throughout the decade's latter half, during which period he also launched a solo career with the release of 2008's Avalon. In between the release of his debut solo album and 2012's Beautiful Things, Green went through some major life changes, including getting married and having a son. These personal shifts greatly influenced the songwriting and musical direction of his sophomore solo outing, with a deep focus on family, fatherhood, and devotional love. In 2013, Green inaugurated his own label, Moshtradamus Records, by releasing his third album, Young Legs. -Andrew Leahey for | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401 | Reserve Balcony | Local Outlets
