Sat 02/07 Iron City Rocks presents Machine Head 9:00pm All Ages
Influential West Coast heavy metal quartet Machine Head formed in 1992 around the talents of ex-Vio-lence guitar players Robert Flynn and Phil Demmel, bass player Adam Duce, and drummer Chris Kontos. Their D.I.Y. work ethic, aggressive playing, and relentless self-promotion eventually landed them a deal with Roadrunner Records, a relationship that would extend all the way through 2005. Their blistering debut, 1992's Burn My Eyes, blended the powerful, modern attack of Pantera and Alice in Chains with the volatility of classic thrash bands like Death Angel and Slayer, earning them a huge European following. The record sold over 500,000 copies and spawned a massive international tour that lasted almost two years. -James Christopher Monger, | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401 | Local Outlets
Sun 02/08 Opus One & PromoWest North Shore Presents An Evening With Chris Robinson Brotherhood 8:00pm All Ages
On April 29th, The Chris Robinson Brotherhood returns from gathering the ineffable with Phosphorescent Harvest, their third long playing album for Silver Arrow Records. Having first unshackled the air with Big Moon Ritual (June 1012) and the Magic Door (September 2012), the band –Robinson (Lead vocals, guitar), Neal Casal (guitar, vocals), Adam Macdougall (keys, vocals), George Sluppick (drums), and Mark Dutton (bass, vocals) -trucked the realms relentlessly, including a 118-show stretch that never failed to illuminate blank nights to just this side of clarity. Late 2013 saw the fruits of that labor forever captured in the proverbial amber by legendary tape priestess, Betty Cantor-Jackson (Grateful Dead), on the eight-sided limited-edition vinyl release Betty’s S.F. Blends Volume 1, which documented a glorious five night run at San Francisco’s famed Great American Music Hall. | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401 | Local Outlets
Fri 02/13 91.3 WYEP presents The New Pornographers with special guests Operators 9:00pm All Ages
The New Pornographers' sixth album, Brill Bruisers, has a name that brings multiple connotations to mind, all of them apt, since band founder A.C. Newman acknowledges liking "titles that, in my mind, could have five different meanings." But you wouldn't steer yourself wrong if you gathered from the name that what you are about to hear will be both brainy and pugilistic. If you could put a face on an album title, this one might be represented by a boxer's mug with a monocle. A reference to "brilliant bruisers" occurs in what became the title track, "and it was shortening it to 'brill' which made me think of the whole Brill Building connotation," Newman says. "Even though I hesitate to give it any exact meaning, I like the idea that it's bruising songs in the style of the Brill Building," the legendary office tower where the greatest pop songwriters of the 1960s pumped out their classics. | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401 | Reserve Balcony | Local Outlets

Fri 02/20 Opus One & Obvious present RJD2 with special guests Chrome Sparks (dj set), Mr. Owl b2b James Gyre, Headphone Activist 8:00pm All Ages
"10 years! My god, that is a LIFETIME! I cant believe I have been making records on a national level for 10 years. In 1999, I was just making these little beats in my bedroom for release on an independent label. Fast forward to 2009, and I’m….making these little beats in my bedroom for release on an independent label. Ok, to be fair, some things have changed; a bigger studio, I OWN the studio, I OWN the independent label, and instead of driving 10 blocks to a gig in m hometown, I fly 10 hours to a gig in another country. But when it all comes down to its most base level, the goal is still the same: to make a piece of music that is going to hopefully rearrange your brain, or at least provide some relief from real life for a moment or two. So let’s take a look at what’s happened over the course of those 10 years…." - RJD2 | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401 | Reserve Balcony | Local Outlets
Sat 02/21 Motionless In White – The Beyond The Barricade Tour with special guests For Today, New Years Day, Ice Nine Kills 7:30pm All Ages
Motionless In White aren't a band, they're a lifestyle. Since forming in Scranton, Pennsylvania, in 2005, this Gothic-inspired metalcore act have captivated audiences with their aggressive music and arresting aesthetic but nothing could prepare audiences for their third full-length Reincarnate, an album that truly defies categorization and establishes them as one of the most exciting acts in rock today. “Everything has to fit my very specific vision for what I want to accomplish but having these people help with things I never would have been able to think of on my own was fantastic,” the band's malevolent frontman Chris Motionless explains. | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401 | Reserve Balcony | Local Outlets
Tue 02/24 Murder by Death with special guests O'Death 8:30pm All Ages
On the surface, Murder By Death is a Bloomington, IN quintet with a wry, ominous name. But behind the geography and moniker is a band of meticulous and literary songwriters matched by a specific brand of brooding, anthem-riding balladry and orchestral indie rock. Murder By Death’s path began in the early 2000s as most Midwestern college-town groups do, by playing to small crowds at ratty venues and frenzied house parties. While many of their formative-year scene-mates failed to make it much further than campustown’s borders, Murder By Death translated their anonymous beginnings into a 10+ year career founded on a bedrock of five full-length albums, tireless D.I.Y. touring and performing ethics, and, most importantly, a dedicated, cult-like fanbase. | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401 | Reserve Balcony | Local Outlets
Wed 02/25 JJ Grey & Mofro with special guests The London Souls 8:00pm All Ages
From the days of playing greasy local juke joints to headlining major festivals, JJ Grey remains an unfettered, blissful performer, singing with a blue-collared spirit over the bone-deep grooves of his compositions. His presence before an audience is something startling and immediate, at times a funk rave-up, other times a sort of mass-absolution for the mortal weaknesses that make him and his audience human. When you see JJ Grey and his band Mofro live—and you truly, absolutely must—the man is fearless. | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401 | Local Outlets
Thu 02/26 frnkiero andthe cellabration with special guests Modern Chemistry 8:00pm All Ages
“The funny thing about belonging to a scene,” begins singer/guitarist Frank Iero, “is that at a certain point, there becomes all these factions. Are you pop-punk? Are you emo? Are post-hardcore? Hardcore? Are you a fuckin’ hipster? In my last band, these factions were waiting to see, ‘What are these guys? They came from here, they’re not really this, we need to label them somehow.’ The reality was had we decided we were something, that scene wouldn’t have wanted us anyway. It wasn’t like getting picked for a kickball team in elementary school. It was like, ‘Well, you’ve got to go to a team, so you better decide soon. But none of us fuckin’ want you.’ So we decided to do our own thing.” Doing your own thing is a modus operandi that’s worked well for Iero, the former guitarist in the groundbreaking outfit My Chemical Romance, who was responsible for bringing (and maintaining) an old-school punk energy to that band’s bigger-than-life-and-twiceas-heavy rock vision. After 10 years, four albums and rounds of incessant touring, MCR quietly adjourned in March of 2013. But the creatively restless guitarist has always held a hardcore work ethic, a mindset that helped propel Stomachaches, his proper debut full-length on Staple Records. | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401 | Reserve Balcony | Local Outlets
